Biography
After years of working as an itinerate bullfighter, Steve stood in a light drizzle amongst hundreds of spectators in an arena outside Parral Chihuahua, Mexico. Dizzing the beast to a stop with simple sweeps of his cape, he would perfrom the feat few have dared. Hands in the mud, feet in the air, he taunts the bull with his eyes. There is a universal gasp from the crowd as the bull races forward, launching Steve skyward. Time stood still, his purpose in life coming to him in a vision as he miraculously landed on his feet, narrowly escaping the bulls second charge... His life would be changed forever. The time for fighting bulls had come to an end; it was time to direct!
A dual citizen of Mexico and the United States, Steve has an established client base around the globe, directing spots from the US, England, France, and Spain to Mexico, Uruguay, and Czechoslovakia. With a soulful connection to the earth and it's people, Steve's work behind the camera mirrors that of his work in the arena. He's worked on hundreds of campaigns for companies like Coca Cola, Beck's Beer, Mazda, Nike, Adidas and Chrysler, in addition to dedicating his time for non-profit organizations like Open Road Sarajevo, O.N.C.E. and Partnership for a Drug Free America, where he was blessed to work with luminaries like Stephen Hawking, Michael Dell and Bill Gates.
Once a bullfighter, Mr. Ramser is now a shepherd, herding a creative flock. Ole!
